Our rolling mill which is computer-controlled, automated and totally state of the art, can produce up to 150,000Mt/ Annum TMT bars.     Wet analysis lab, Atomic Emission spectrometer (Metal Power India) for testing of chemical parameters like carbon, manganese, sulphur, phosphorous, etc. 100 Ton Universal Testing Machine for testing physical properties like yield strength, ultimate strength, elongation, etc. Salt spray test and alternate immersion test for testing and simulation of corrosion

    RAW MATERIAL

    Viki TMT Bars are made using high-quality low carbon steel billets that are approved and chosen after testing for chemical and physical properties. On successful completion, the chemical composition is checked using our Atomic Emission Spectrometer. Only those billets are approved by our Quality Control Department for rolling into TMT.

    TMT PROCESS

    In a Computerised Water Quenching System, the bars are treated in three stages. The final structure consists of a combination of a strong outer layer called Tempered Martensite and a ductile inner core called Ferrite Perlite. This is what gives Viki TMT its unique combination of bonding with concrete, strength, endurance, ductility and retarded corrosion.

On successful completion of physical inspection, the chemical composition is checked using our Atomic Emission Spectrometer.  Only those billets which conform to IS 2830/2012 standard are approved by our Quality Control Department for rolling into TMT.

    TMT PROCESS

    Computerized Water Quenching System:

    The first stage of quenching begins when the hot-rolled bar leaves the final mill stand and is rapidly quenched by a special water spray system. This produces a bar with a martensite shell as the outer layer and austenitic core.

    The second stage, “self- tempering” begins when the bar leaves the quenching box with a temperature gradient through its cross-section, the temperature of the core being higher than of the surface.

    The third stage, “atmospheric cooling” takes place on the cooling bed, where the austenitic core is transformed to a ductile ferrite-perlite core.

    The final structure consists of a combination of a strong outer layer called Tempered Martensite and a ductile inner core called Ferrite Perlite. This is what gives Viki TMT its unique combination of bonding with concrete, strength, endurance, ductility and retarded corrosion.

    VIKI READYMADE STEEL

    Now, VIKI Industries Pvt. Ltd is introducing Ready Made Steel (RMS), which will be a big boon to the construction industry to save on cost and time in construction. At VIKI, the company has imported from Europe and installed a fully computerized automatic cutting and bending machine to facilitate providing rebars cut to the specification as required by the customers with zero error and in perfect shape and size. The Company has installed  Graphico Software to prepare the bar bending schedule (BBS) and send for customer approval. After approval, the bar bending process starts.  The bars are cut according to the BBS in Shear Line Machine and moved to Robomaster machine for bending accurately as per the specification and Bar Wiser machine for further bending as per requirement. The cut and bend bars are duly checked and tags are tied as per the drawing and dispatched to the site. WHERE VIKI RMS EXCELS:  The challenge in using RMS is in fixing the tag on the bars with correct numbering to enable the workers on-site to identify and fix the bars in the right points as per the drawing. At VIKI RMS utmost care is taken to properly tag the bars with all details and ensured that the tags do not come off during transit and unloading the RMS bars.

    As the RMS bars are ready to use the bars are tied faster thus speeding up the completion of the work saving time and manhours.

    SAVING ON LABOUR

    As it is difficult to get a dedicated workforce using VIKI RMS saves on labour force required and saves on labour cost.

    SPACE SAVING

    VIKI RMS is delivered at the site is ready to use condition there is no need to store the rebars in bulk volume thus saves space.

    PREVENTS WASTAGE

    By using VIKI RMS cutting and bending at the site eliminates the generation of scrap at the site and results in substantial savings in steel cost.

    LIMITS PILFERAGE

    Using VIKI RMS helps to minimize the pilferage as the bulk volume of steel is not stored and the RMS is tagged with a number of pieces delivered minimizing pilferage
